 Momentum - The momentum of a body is defined as the product of its mass and velocity.

Momentum = mass * velocity 

or, p= m * v

  • SI unit of momentum is kilogram meters per second ( kg.m/s or kg.m s-1).
  • Momentum is a vector quantity.
