Solution:-

          The weight of a body is calculated by using the formula :

                                   Weight, W = m  × g

                    Mass of the body, m = 5 kg

      Acceleration due to gravity, g = 9.8 m/s2

                             So, Weight, W = 5  × 9.8

                                                   = 49 N 

Thus, the weight of the body is 49 newtons.
