Ankit is 3 years elder than Khushi. Six years ago the age of Ankit was four times of Khushi. Find their present age.

Let the present age of Khushi = x

∴ Presnet age of Ankit = x + 3 

According to question,

= x + 3 - 6 = 4(x – 6)

= x - 3 = 4x - 24

= 4x - x= 24 - 3 = 21

= 3x = 21

∴ x = 21 / 3 = 7 years

Therefore,

Khushi's age = x = 7 years

Ankit's age = x + 3 = 7 + 3 = 10 years
