Solution –

Change in velocity = (Final velocity - Initial velocity) = 60 km h-1 - 80 km h-1

= -20 km h-1 = -20,000 m/60×60s = -5.5 m s-1

Duration = 5 s

So, Acceleration = Change in velocity/Duration of time

= -5.5 m s-1/5s = 1.1 ms-1.
