Solution:

 Here area of triangle $=50 \mathrm{~m}^{2}=50 \times 100 \times 100 \mathrm{~cm}^{2}$

Height $=8 \mathrm{~cm}$

Base of triangle $=\frac{2 \times \text { area }}{\text { height }}=\frac{2 \times 50 \times 100 \times 100}{8} \mathrm{~cm}$

$$

=125000 \mathrm{~cm}=1250 \mathrm{~m}

$$
