Solution

Sum of the ages of 50

persons $=50 \times 60$

$=3000$ years

Sum of ages of remaining persons

$=45 \times 62=2790$ years

$\therefore \quad$ Required average age

$$

\begin{array}{l}

=\frac{3000-2790}{5} \\

=\frac{210}{5}=42 \text { years; Ans. }

\end{array}
