Macronutrients : The mineral elements which are required by the plants in large amounts are called macronutrients. 

They are required for the growth for plant body. 

They are nine in numbers. i.e. Carbon, Nitrogen, Sulphur, Oxygen, Hydrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium, Magnesium and Calcium.
