Structural Unemployment : In the words of Gardner, Structural Unemployment is the unemployment that results from the long-term decline of certain industries. It is associated with the structural changes in the economy. It arises :
(i) When other factors of production like capital, land, etc., are in short supply,
(ii) When labourers are trained in old and decaying industries are ill-equipped for new emerging industries, and
(iii) When there is change in the production technique.
